IT EXPERT on YouTube Down Google Down 12/14/2020 What likely happened & Fixed it - Google Outage
So Google went down across the world. At 8:01am EST on December 14 2020 I decided make a video where I explain what I think happened with the google outage this morning. I have been working in IT engineering for 15 years and have my Bachelors in Computer Science. I have a lot of experience with major companies and helping to troubleshoot problems. I wanted to make a video to show younger engineers how to methodically troubleshoot real world issues for corporations. Although I am sure there willl be a ton of videos complaining about the impact and just reporting on the event, I'm sure there won't be many video explaining what lead to the outage and potential impact to google going forward. My goal is to help educate and explain complicated things to those interested in learning. I hope to use this platform for that. This is good IT lesson learned on how deployments even at large companies like google can impact stable applications.
